Head of Events & Projects
To provide strategic leadership and coordination for IEDF events across the continent, ensuring that conferences, leadership programmes, workshops, networking sessions and community events are professionally planned, promoted and delivered. The Head of Events will build strong event teams, coordinate regional and national leaders, grow event participation and ensure that every event contributes to IEDF's mission, leadership development and Vision 2030 objectives.
What this leader must do in the first 12 months
- Develop and implement a continental IEDF events strategy
- Establish a structured events calendar covering key countries and regions
- Successfully coordinate and support major IEDF events throughout the year
- Build and activate a strong network of national and regional event leaders
- Increase participation and attendance across IEDF events
- Establish strategic partnerships that strengthen IEDF events and programmes
- Improve the quality, consistency and professional standard of IEDF events
- Create sustainable systems for planning, delivering and reporting on events
- Increase youth, community, business and leadership participation through events
- Generate measurable contribution towards the IEDF Vision 2030 goal of reaching 1 million people with education and development opportunities
